The Engineering Institute of Technology prides itself on providing a vast array of learning materials to our students. These consist of a virtual library, as well as an exclusive physical library for our on-campus students. EIT subscribes to a range of engineering-focused libraries, consisting of GALE Academic OneFile, Elsevier Knovel, and IEEE STEM 45. Over 160 technical manuals, provided by IDC Technologies, also provide a comprehensive range of learning materials, facilitating a more cohesive learning experience throughout your studies with our institute.
EIT offers an online portal as part of its service. Our Higher Education students receive the entire catalogue of materials, all of which can be easily accessed from within the main Moodle LMS. There is a comprehensive breakdown on how to access the various libraries, as well as various guides and resources to support your study.
EIT has chosen to subscribe to three external libraries: GALE Academic OneFile, Elsevier Knovel, and IEEE STEM 45. Collectively, these libraries contain hundreds of thousands of resources, including textbooks, journals, articles, papers, and other learning resources such as equations and unit converters.
Our dedicated Academic Resources Manager frequently inspects all of the Library materials, ensuring a student's learning is focused on up-to-date standards and guidelines.
On Campus Library
EIT's library contains a vast array of books that students can borrow, many of which are relevant to your current field of study. The book range consists primarily of engineering-related topics, but there are many other business topics available.
The student library is located at our West Perth office (1031 Wellington Street, West Perth). The map below displays the distance between the main student campus and the West Perth office. The map below displays the distance between the main student campus and the West Perth office.
Our opening hours are between 8AM and 4PM on weekdays. The library is closed on public holidays.
Our library items are organised in a professional manner, following the conventions of the Dewey Decimal Class system. For further explanation on our book classification, you can read this article.
Online Library Catalogue
EIT uses an online platform called Lend-Items. Lend-Items provides information on all currently-available books in our on-site library.
On the Lend-Items platform, you can view the entire catalogue of books and place specific books under reservation. Lend-Items is capable of performing numerous other functions, all of which should assist with your learning.
